I recently found some funny little drawings I did oh, twenty some years ago. These are a few that I particularly like. My mom, (who is an artist) told me, if you're not sure about a drawing, put it away for a little while and once you have some distance you can re-evaluate it. I don't think she meant twenty years!
Anyway, I'm pleasantly surprised with myself, and I'm excited about getting back into it! Now I want to draw tea cups and sock monkeys, balls of yarn and little vintage toys. . .

Your drawings remind me of the black and white illustrations in books I read when I was little. Garth Williams who illustrated Laura Ingalls' Little House seriesmy favourite. I like the way you used the shading lines, they give depth to the pictures. I hope you know what I mean. I'm not an artist :) But do keep up the drawing.
i seriously am in love with your style! i esp. love the bathroom pic :)
can't wait to see all your other works of art!
I love these drawings! I, too, have been away from drawing for years and have recently decided to start again on a regular basis. I'll definitely be checking in to see your progress!
those drawings are awesome! do some more!
These are wonderful! I love all the texture lines, they make the drawing so interesting to look at. You might enjoy participating in Illustration Friday :) Keep up the drawing!
Those drawings are awesome! I am a huge fan of simple line drawings, plain lined stencils, and the like. Ok, now I'm going back to look at a nice quilt thing I just caught a glimpse of before I started this comment...
I really like these drawings. I wish I kept my art for so long! Great inspiration.
They're great and would make super colouring books for grown ups!
I LOVE these drawings, you make magic out of the simplest everyday things...
