Real men don't knit, they crochet!

I've stalled on these socks. I'm not really thrilled with them, they're a little thick, (I don't think this was proper sock yarn) a little too bright, oh, just not quite right. I'll finish them up though, because I recently bought yarn for two more pair. . . And! . . . It was my birthday recently and boy, did I get spoiled! Yarn, more yarn and fabric! Pictures on the way soon!
Oh, by the way, see the bit of cream crochet blanket in there? Well, my sweet heart keeps asking if I've put any pictures of his crochet projects on the blog. We call this blanket the sleepy blanket (anyone who puts it on immediately falls asleep). It's huge, it took two kilos of Red Heart. That yarn comes from the endangered, wild acrilacks, which is why I think some people look down upon those who use it.

Amy, I've used the same pattern for all of my socks so far, Basic sock pattern for Regia Jacquard, and the needles are #1(2.25mm). I'm definately a green person too, so I think they'll grow on me, besides, they're the first pair I've done for myself! Thanks for your kind comment! Becky

I like the socks... but I can see where you might not if you were expecting a different texture.

And those poor acrilacs!

Hi Becky, Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment on my blog. I just recently found yours. And, I'm digging these socks and that bag you made with a mix of fabric and recycled sweater--a great combo. I'm looking forward to delving into your archives and seeing future posts.
